Beginning quilters will learn the basics of quilting from an expert. Students will become familiar with the necessary tools for quilting and how to use them. They will learn how to follow the pattern, cut and press the fabric, choose colors, and stitch ¼" seams. At the conclusion of the two-session class, students will have created a lap quilt. The pattern and some fabric will be provided. Students will need to bring their sewing machine, small iron, fabric, sewing supplies and extension cord.
